MP3 Books

I get a lot of windshield time traversing our vast customer area and I listen to MP3 books as I go around. It fills the time and Iget t olisten to a lot of quality authors.

OSC is the writer of the Ender books. I own them all in audiobook if not also in paper. I have two copies of signed OSC work. My favorite is a recently signed copy of Ender's Game in hardcover. I got it by watching OSC's site and he had a book signing at a local Barnes & Noble. I was unable to go, but OSC advised me I could call in a credit card order and Voila'.

Ender's Game was made into a movie and was ok. It seemed to me that a little over 90 minutes was not enough time to tell the story properly to people like me that have read (or heard) the book several times. Enough movies have done well at 2.5 hours or longer, that I think they could have pulled it off.

No Easy Day

This is an amazing book of the life of a SEAL that everyone should read if they want to have a better understanding of what our warriors do abroad and at home. As a former Marine, I recognize these elite warriors live around me every day and long to "touch the magic" like every other patriotic person whose time in uniform has come and gone. They move through our lives like a mild breeze, hardly felt and never seen. Pity the men that these men are sent against, for surely they will all either die or be taken. I have been in the compound and always wondered what was on the second floor, read the book.

The Hunger Games Series

I have become a fan after seeing the first book in the movie. As this was my third author that I recommended, I hope that carries some weight for you. Yes, I am not actually reading the book since I have been listening an MP3 books.

American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History
This is an amazing book, by an amazing man. He died too early, at the hands of a crzy ex-Marine that he was trying to help. Read this book and tell me if you are not moved, I will buy your copy at the price you paid if so. I will and do, pray for the Kyle family. I will pray for the people that bad mouth this man after his death and for any "piece of trash" that would sue a widow and her children for money.

Few people actually deserve the word hero applied to them. Chis Kyle is one and he died serving his brother veterans. The world is a darker place without him in it. Read the book so you have a little peek into his life.
